Sculpting sand quickly became a passion for Fred. He has since moved back up north near Corpus Christi Texas to the island town of Port Aransas on Mustang Island where he continues to perform Sand Sculpting jobs for hire, and Port A. "on the beach" sand sculpting lessons. Fred competes at several masters level solo competitions a year for both the income and the athletic artistic release in the form of a multi-day retreat from his usual busy job of teaching engineers to write computer programs to analyze data.
