I was introduced to the world of sand sculpture on South Padre Island, home of the Sons of the Beach sand castle wizards.

Sculpting sand quickly became a passion. I have since moved back up north near Corpus Christi Texas to the island town of Port Aransas on Mustang Island where I continue to perform Sand Sculpting jobs for hire, leaving the beach lessons to Mark Landrum: http://www.sandrum.com.

Mostly I just enjoy several competitions a year to both make money and the athletic artistic release in the form of a multi-day retreat from my usual busy job of teaching engineers to write computer programs to support their engineering.
